GREGORY ST. JOHN TAYLOR (71)

50 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE in business enterprise (1966 to the present)

Greg, half-Irish and half-Russian, enjoys creative mood swings in keeping with his ethnicity, but his literary interests span and include all peoples around the world.  His interest in music is global; the same is true with his fascination with cultural dance and lifestyles.  All these aspects, and more, contribute to his recognition and acknowledgement as a human interest writer.  The fact that he has entered the "seventies" of life enchants him...in his own words, “Adding another decade just makes me more excited about getting older.”  He believes that as a person half-Russian and half-Irish, "I never know whether it is better to fight or cry, so I do neither."

He lives and works in West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA, with his family, yet his expansive research, Internet ramblings, make “me not only global, but Universal.”  His life has been interesting beginning with being born in Detroit, Michigan, September 13, 1944, to "having a ball," in Pennsylvania.  His latest move into enterprise novels has increased his dynamics, and trading for items has sparked a new interest in him; he has always been resourceful and enjoys the interaction with working with those who contract him to ghost write.   "It is amazing and an honor to bring the joys of fiction and its inherent imagination into personal lives and businesses."

When asked why he writes, he replies, “no one wants to hear me talk, so I write.”  Greg loves vibrant and animated intellectual exchanges with people with vibrant interests of their own and lubricates conversations with good food and drink.  “Any conversation lasting under two hours is not worth starting.  The first hour is mine, and the second is for the other guy; I learn more that way.”  These episodes are unfortunately few and far between.  In keeping with his gregarious nature, but reclusive habits and lifestyle, Greg is a multi-genre writer, a Penn State University graduate in English (1971), a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, a Vietnam-era veteran serving in 7101st MATRON, Wiesbaden AFB, Germany and 4609th TAC, KIncheloe AFB.  In his distant youth, he attended Admiral Farragut Academy in Pine Beach, New Jersey (1950s) and became an avid sailor.  His wife is a fellow sailor also.  "Coming from a polo family, I had to choose between sailing and playing polo, which I did, playing against the famous Ben Forney of Lancaster Polo Club.  I enjoyed the horses on leisurely trots through the Taunus Mountains in Germany, skiing the Alps, but was always drawn back to the water."  There is more...he plays the spoons, is a drummer, loves porto, and listens to loud music while working.

One of his most intriguing new efforts involves his Valiant Scatter Series, founded on the inanimate expressions of ships lost due to war or in preparation for war, based on Liz and Greg's military website, www.valiantscatter.com Valiant Scatter is a live series and develops, in numbers, as various ships “check-in.”  People think Greg and Liz are beyond eccentric since they claims to communicate with sunken ships, but who is going to argue?  At last count, there were over 3 million ships recorded as sunk "It is amazing how much data and remarkable opinion is available in the expressions of our ships, who include, in part, HMS Glowworm H92, USS Thresher, IJN Yamato, as well as The Prince of Plauen, U-156.”  More are coming, with fifteen ships on the roster already.

Pursuing art, Greg is an alumnus of the Pennsylvania Academy of (the) Fine Arts (1966) and continues to produce literature works and art, as a fine artist, a cartoonist, and caricaturist, not to mention having a history as a MIL-SPEC technical illustrator.  Greg designs and produces all DUO's e-book covers.  "I enjoy art whether I produce it or look at it.  Art is the haven for the active mind and takes us to places hitherto unknown.  Cartooning is fun, and doing caricatures is amusing.  When the world of computer art became available, I thrived in it, and after choosing all art-producing media, I use Microsoft Paint more than any other program...I guess I like playing with blocks."  Greg designs and manages all 9 DUO's websites.  "I discovered that as a successful professional technical writer, editor and illustrator, that I had both information architecture and information engineering in me already.  Isn't that fun?"  And there is more...he is training himself to become an Executive Chef in his own household.  "I like to cook and eat plus drink...I am a very happy man."

ELIZABETH LESSE TAYLOR (66)

44 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE in business enterprise (1972 to the present)

Elizabeth Lesse Taylor, is Greg’s wife (since 1976), companion, editor, publisher, co-author who has provided logistical assistance and encouragement, not to mention, a lively private and social life, for 40-some years.  Liz began her career in advertising and public relations in Philadelphia, became Community Services Director for Sleighton School designed to accommodate court-adjudicated youths, then moved into the boating world.  She was editor of a boating periodical, Women in Boating, worked in a marine product and services company, and hosted booths at National Boat Shows.  After marrying Greg and settling in, the two "hit the road" as Publications & Documentation professionals and "worked" East USA, from Vermont to Tennessee.  Eventually, in 1987, Liz and Greg made a home in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and in 1991 founded DUO Publications & Documentation R&D, serving local, regional, national and international clients.

Now, Liz and Greg work 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, happily generating literary products and works of art in a continuous, seamless manner working and perfecting their "assembly line" process.   Their system of production has yielded, to date, over 100 e-works.  They also coordinate in ghost writing, and developing technical documentation for clients through consulting companies.  Liz specializes in mandated regulatory documentation, and Greg has taken up a new professional pursuit, that of being an "Enterprise Novelist," and Liz has joined him.  Liz is an acknowledged global professional in her field.

Saturday is sacred, and Greg and Liz stop work at 4pm, get on the Internet; eat supper in front of the computers and view on a center monitor; go to a travel video that conveys them to somewhere in the world where they learn, share and enjoy various cultures; go to NETFLIX and watch a movie (animated, mystery, history, etc.); then settle down to enjoy Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra (so much fun and enjoyment, frolic and a variety of music by remarkable musicians and singers).

Currently, Liz and Greg's work is available in these countries

through Nook and Kindle and more as both Nook and Kindle

gather more momentum.
